About Us
About Us:
Snug Books is an independent bookstore serving readers in Northeast Baltimore and beyond. Whether you’re looking to launch a child’s imagination into the world of tall tales, looking to get yourself lost in a book for a quick getaway, or find the perfect gift, we can help you.
Co-owners, and long time Baltimore residents, Katie and Emanuel have been dreaming of owning a bookstore for many years and have finally been able to make it a reality.
Katie and Emanuel carefully curate every item found in the shop and are happy/excited to share their favorite selections with the local community.
The new store, located in the same space as the former Children’s Bookstore, hosts an extensive children’s section, a large selection for teen and adult readers, and features a special selection of Spanish-language books for children and adults as a nod to Emanuel’s Puerto Rican heritage. The store also carries gifts, puzzles, games, cards, stationary, treats, educational items, stuffed animals, and more.
Snug Books strives to partner with and meet the needs of the Northeast Baltimore community, celebrate diversity, be inclusive, and create a welcoming space. The store will also be a community space for events, educational opportunities and activities, collaborations with other local stores and organizations, and a resource for the Northeast Baltimore community (we are taking this slow while we are getting through the pandemic).
